Fishing at Neshaminy creek

My brother Rock, our friend, Eddy and I went fishing at Neshaminy Creek on July 12,2010 about 200 yards west of the Rt 13 bridge. We fished from about 4PM to 7:30PM. It was mostly cloudy with some sun. We had a good time.
We caught 4 cat fish with the Rock catching two with one around 22 inches. Eddy caught one and I finally caught one. We also caught some small perch and some sunnys. Most of the fish were caught on live trout worms and Eddy caught his on a piece of Oscar Meyer hot dog. Rock bought some special bloody catfish bait with no catches on the bait.
The biggest excitement was when Eddy caught a turtle. It was huge. We estimated it weighed 10 lbs and the shell length was around two feet are larger. It was hissing at us. The turtle's head was bigger than my fist.
I thank Eddy for letting us fish with him at his pier near his apartment.

May 16th fishing trip

Bo,Steve, Taras,PJ, Carly, and Bo's brother-in-law had the best fishing trip this season. They fished off the surf of Cape May. They all caught some with most taking the day's limit of two.

Cape May Fishing Trip May1-3rd

We made a trip to Cape May for our annual May stripe bass fishing trip.
We stayed at Holly Shores campground in Wildwood. Bo Fedorychuk and Steve Rebensky set up their campers and we all were very comfortable.
The more experinced fisherman, Bo, PJ Gramiak and the Rebensky brothers - Steve and Taras helped the less experienced fisherman, Leo Gramiak, John Kusen, George Fedorychuk,Roman Prokopovych and Bo's nephew, Dominic and his girlfriend Kristina.
We had a very successful fishing trip. The group caught 14 stripe bass that were keepers. Last year we had no keepers and only one Drum fish caught by Steve.
We had over 20 striped bass that we had to throw back because they were under 28 inches. We had a few sharks too. John had one which measured 27 1/2 inches. He stll has no keepers.
Bo and PJ would do casting for the some of the inexperienced because the water temperatures were between 49 to 53 degrees and they had waders. We used surf clams and were able to get two pieces out of one clam.
Bo showed us how to fillet the stipers without opening the stomach. You get two large fillets Dominic did his own fillet with the guidance of BO and did good.
PJ had the high catch with four and Kristina had the largest measuring 35 1/2 inches.
Everyone caught at least one keeper with the exception of John and Leo.
Taras and Steve tie their own rigs and Taras is going to teach John how to do it since John will have plenty of time because he is retiring next April.
We will have some pictures as soon as Leo developes his pictures.
